Please keep in my mind that there are people here like me who are not native english speakers. I'm sorry if my text came in bitchy. That was not intended by me. I just wanted to ask for a different solution.
In my not native english eyes you bitched more than I did. |

you can always exchange the white knobs for black ones.
wouldn't cost more than a few euros. (Banzaiparts in Berlin has them) _________________

Yes, but the thing is: If I take similar looking knobs it is hard to distinguish both.
Can't be too hard to write an additional 'Original' on the front.
(I'm not asking for the module to make coffee) |

Yes but it would involve another run off frontpanels being made which costs extra $$$$. _________________ WTB Buchla 100 modules

well, that's where you're wrong; the beauty of this module is that very little on the outside needs to be changed, which is why it's able to be released so quickly. The most expensive part of manufacturing these modules is the faceplates. Malekko does HUGE runs of modules and the setup costs for having faceplates made is largely prohibitive. Just to add something to a silkscreen requires redoing the mask/ silkscreen and running the job all over again. Changing the knob color is really the simplest way to differentiate the two modules.
FWIW, I think it's awesome that I have never seen Malekko/ Wiard modules out of stock @ AH, even though everyone seems to have them. This speaks volumes to the dedication and plan-ahead business acumen of Josh, Paul & Grant. _________________

Wow, can't believe how big a deal the white-knob thing is. I consider it a bonus that this version is even available. It's quite cool that the idea could be tossed around a bit, (maybe due to a few requests,) and then a few days later BAM! the original is also available to buy for those that prefer it, or want both. Take a pen and stick a little dot in the corner if you honestly think you'd get confused if you changed the knobs to black.
I don't know about anyone else, but even if every module I had said Borg on the top, I'd remember what each one did, and where I last mounted it.
I can understand people wanting their aesthetic a certain way, but really, I think it's silly in this particular case. |

| what is the difference between the sound of a borg2 when the jumper is set for it to sound "smooth/round" and the sound of the original borg? sounds like it is similiar, as people have said the borg2 has more of that "wooden" sound when the jumper is set. |

It needs the amount off panels being made split up in two.
Which would affect the price in a bad way.
Malekko already did a good job making afordable Wiard stuff avaible directly from stock from your dealer! _________________ WTB Buchla 100 modules

I thought the white knobs are awesome looking... makes me want to swap all my knobs for ones like that. It would match my white Lexington! _________________ Prometheus Burning

wicked loud is what I expect. I'm pairing my M15 with this filter. And my AOs with an M13.
about the borg1-2 differences (appearance)
IMO Borg look remarkably alike anyway
my Borg and Envelator are in customs, a big fat official is sitting his arse down on my package. LOL _________________
