My Harvestman Poli as a dead spot *below* the lowest cutoff freq (ie knob CCW, LP filter totally closes, then opens again). Is this a "feature"/nature of teh beast, or a calibration issue?

FWIW it's the later HP output equipped version.

Thanks,
sk

Oh okay, thanks.
Intriguing filter, just wanted to make sure mine didn't need internal tweaking.

I've actually had fun experimenting with the "dead spot". When hitting the Poli with CV, if you tune to the dead spot just right, it can help in making kicks with the Poli self-oscillating, laser zaps, or even a VCA/Gate.

Yeah, I found that in certain patches, the low frequency end of the Harvestman Polivoks wasn't really dead. I never quite understood what was going on, but it seemed that it was operating in some kind of very low frequency way, perhaps electrically interacting with the source or destination modules?

Surprises like this just add to what is already the best eurorack filter, IMHO.

OK, tried to fix it with different ICs, but did not work. So i ordered original ICs from Lithuanians manufacture Evita and now working perfect.

macidavid - which chips did you order from them?

I've tried a few different chips in my Papareil Polivoks board and they all have different ranges and dead spots depending on the resonance.

I found the LS776 had the highest range, followed by the GDR-manufactured B176.
