and I can't even get the AC light to turn on
So I took some readings w. my cheap multimeter
(red probe @ AC2, wallwart is 18V AC):
R7 1: 8V
R7 2: 7,5V
D1 2: 8V
D1 1: 0,1V
RED 1: 0,1V
C1 1: 0,1V
RED 2: 0?
C2 2: 0?
Replaced D1, but got the same result. Any ideas? _________________ There are no voices in the pancake |

Can you post a small photo of your wiring to the power supply board?
Have you connected your power pack into AC2 and 0V2? If that doesn't light the LED the power pack is either dead or the LED is around the wrong way.

Yes, I'm using AC2 & 0V2.
What's weird is that there seems to be no connection between AC2 & R7, but there is between AC1 & R7? Checked with an ohmmeter (also the AC light lights up when I put a voltmeter between AC2 & R7). The backside of the PCB:
Should I try AC1 instead, or did I miss something here? _________________ There are no voices in the pancake |

Er... yes. The schematic and the wiring diagram is wrong.
That's been like that for three years. I assume most folk have been using the full wave version!
I'll get the User Manual and schematic updated straight away. In the meantime use AC1 and 0V1 and your power supply should work just fine.
Sorry about that.

Hey, this means I built something that actually works!
Must buy more PCBs!
I can't see the schematic in the PDF. Maybe it's my viewer or something? _________________ There are no voices in the pancake |

Remember the schematic is to be separately downloaded. The link would have been given to you with the shipping e-mail. But don't do that - I haven't uploaded the new version to the server yet.
I am doing things differently to Paul at Krisp1 though. I send the files direct to purchasers in the shipping e-mail. This saves all the bother with non friendly files names and passwords.
Send me an e-mail (not PM) and I'll send you a copy of the corrected schematic.
