| I am jealous. Love the simplicity and texture. The dirt is great. Have you ran anything else through the filter? I see you have the other metasonix modules. I am thinking of getting the r-54. What two of their filters would you say are essential? I really want to get close the wretch synthesizer sound. I am just getting started in the modular world so any suggestions would be great. |

The 52 is very similar to the Wretch filter. |

There are others here that would be much more capable of providing quality Metasonix advice.
This is how I got hooked. I started with the R-51 with the intention of seeing how it would work as a compressor and distortion unit for bass. Before long I realized it was being used in all my patches and even wished I had more than one. It is capable of running clean if needed, but excels at adding a little (or a lot) of grit to a signal. I thought it would be the only R series module I would buy. But, after using the R-51 for a bit I stated getting the shakes for more, so I picked up the R-54. The R-54 wasn’t what I expected. It’s billed as an oscillator and a filter and it does oscillate and filter, but what I really love is all the broken sounds that come out of it. The R-52 is what I really needed when I bought the R-54, but now I love them all. Just a little warning, they are not like other modules. Your first day with the module might be a disappointment. You might even think that it is broken. It is probably just fine.

From what I remember the patch was the Entry Point -> R-52 -> R-51 -> Exit Strategy with the +ENV from the Entry Point to the R-52 sweep and an LFO to the resonance. The +ENV also fed the R-51 VCA and something with the R-54 into the R-51 distortion. Something like that… _________________ Pulp Logic at erthenvar |

Thanks for the info. And thanks for making me aware of your I/O modules. Had no idea they existed. Love their design and feature sets. _________________ Brent Daniels [Free]
