Are those Biyang pedals any good...? They are so cheap there's some psychological thing telling me that they cannot be trusted. I think if they were three times the price they might even sell better _________________ http://aavepyora.net

Couple of questions about the pedal - presume it has a CV/expression input?
If so how did you connect it - just CV, or something more involved.
You say it's similar to the SoS, can it do the really grungy /breaking uo stuff?
Can it go 100% wet?
OK that's 3 questions... |

Oh, and about Moogerfoogers, they have also very useful LFO outputs! Just today I needed some extra modulation on the modular, so I just used the LFO of my MF103, worked beautifully.
How about other pedals with extra outputs for envelope followers, LFOs etc? _________________ http://aavepyora.net

Might I mention this here thread: http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=710701#710701
Scroll down to Umcorps posts about using a VCA and multiples to avoid making a Y-cable. Clever chap.
And can I ask: what about foot-switch inputs? What if I want to send CV instead of using an external foot-switch? _________________ • • • • • • • • • • • • • |

Effectrode makes something called the Phase-o-matic Deluxe that has CV input to control VCO http://www.effectrode.com/phaseomatic
I had one but sold it to buy an MF-106M ClusterFlux
Prior to that, I had their VibraChrorus, it was much warmer sounding and more musical than the Phase-o-matic but didn't have the controls (only a single mono input, output and two knobs). I miss it, but add the above to your list unless it's considered 'too' boutique (expensive). |

ah, no....sorry about the confusion - that was just a simple delay pedal that i bought, and which led me to thinking about all this other stuff with CV ins etc....
sounds awesome though
check out 11.00 onwards for the damage it can do in self-oscillation - and the level remains relatively in control the whole time, unlike SoS
SoS is even dirtier, and does that odd glitchy stuff which is fun a lot of the time, but i wish you could turn it on or off
i just manipulated the pedal with my hands _________________ WTB: Focusrite Octopre/ Saffire PRO40, Rubicon/Dixie, modcan dual delay

MAM Resonator RS3 has CV input for ENV follow depth |
I'm pretty sure the CV input controls the cutoff freqs of the 3 filters (and each one has a knob for offset), not the env depth. It's a sweet piece of gear. |
On the front is a CV input aswell. I assumed the back was the same, then it has actually 2 inputs _________________ http://soundcloud.com/septicstudio

the desktop? Did I miss something? Man I'd never let mine go had I known this... |
well my polyevolver keyboard had two, maybe the MED and/or MEK dont have em but the PEK did
Addendum: My now sold Prophet08 from DSI also had 2 expressioninputs those could be routed to some paramets like cutoff etc. But I never got it working fully satisfactory on the P08. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/septicstudio

| Bel BD80 is just great for CV stuff - many of it's functions were included in Analogue Systems stunning Sampler/Delay module |

well...check out the track and decide for yourself
http://soundcloud.com/spitezoo-experimental-lab/a-day-in-prince-town
pretty much all the delays (apart from a softer one that occasionally sweeps in) come from this pedal |
Wow, that feedback is just beautiful, better than I expected! If for example, that sofy dubby one around 5:00 is the Biyang? _________________ http://aavepyora.net

Yes it is, I have heard many people refer to it as the poor mans AMS, but I think that is almost as good for about a tenth the price. I always preferred the original to the stereo 1u version, the CV range was better and I liked the sound of it more, brilliant for hi-hats flanging and harmonically related to say a bassline etc.
The Fostex is great too but let down by the phono(rca) connectors, probably quite easy to change to 1/4" though.
Those little Boss half rack units are good too. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/darenager
