HI,
I'm sure this has been covered before...
What are you guys using to connect the output of your synths to mixers/sound systems? i.e. The voltage output of a synth is 10 volts, standard audio 1v ptp. I assume an attenuator. Do standard modules exist?
Thanks for indulging a newbie.

I use a cheap off-the-shelf Alesis mixer, and the 1/4" line inputs seem to be fine with the higher levels. _________________ Doug Slocum

| Line level audio is a bit more than that. In most applications, the MOTM mixers have a gain <1 and that's a good one to run into a mixer. I settled on using a few mixers with roughly x10, 1x and .4x gain, and it's simple to set these values by swapping the feedback resistors. |

I built my own output mixer.
http://pugix.com/synth/matrix-mixer/
It has a jumper to select between unity and 50% gain, which I leave at 50%. The audio taper pots do the work of reducing the nominal 10V p-p synthesizer levels down to line level. I usually have this module patched over to my Mackie mixer.
I also built a smaller version, using the same basic circuit, but with a different approach to the panel.
