A functional version of the 2 octave Wasp touch plate. This shouldn't be too expensive to implement if you use the PCB as the touch plate. You should also have CV/Gate inputs.

I voted for the ribbon controller, plus CV ins. Its just my preference to use CV for pitch and trigger/gate.

Man this is a hard one to call for me I am on the fence for either a rackmount or keyboard version. No matter what way you make it I am sure it will be awesome! I can't wait for this!

An 8 voice poly analog mega synth would be my first choice but since that's not on the menu ill go razz with the 2 voice keyboard.

I agree, go weird. Make your own market. Maybe riff on the time frog (inertial based disc) and add CV out? There are a ton of things you could do with an interface like that to make it "musical" like have the rotation snap or glide between a series of user definable pitches.

If I want regular control I'd hook something that I already have up to it.

The ribbon gives you a nice direct platform to get your sounds right on the unit, you can then hook up Expert sleepers or MIDI/cv and get the thing working within the studio environment. This is how i would use it. Release date?

I went for ribbon and cv, would be great if it could include a cv and gate out on the ribbon so we could use it with our other gear.

The best idea I've ever had was a penile tumescence sensing vibrating usb MIDI controller. Considering the state of most synth users I know when I get funding for it I'll make a mint!

Maybe late next year. Maybe.

And I hate touchplates. Too unreliable. Got some Pressure Points and a Rene, and am not impressed. Sorry.

This is good, I wanted to do the ribbon anyway....Mouser sells the 300mm ribbon for about $20.

How about a sequenced Lite-Brite and a set of LDR's that are color-selective.

thank you gents, ribbon it is. If there is room left on the panel I will try to have output jacks for the ribbon CV and trigger.
