guys, just got a piston honda. it's cool, but it also makes my balls sweaty.

for the most part the how-to/ manuals i have seen posted here are very helpful. however, i have a question about selecting eeproms with the expander.

imagine this: you are running the honda and listening to the unmodulated output. you have the expander with chips on it. you hold the chip selection button to choose which eeproms you would like to use.

but wait! where are the hither and yon offset knobs set? if they are set to zero, then both chips will be displayed as A A. so you select your chips by cranking hither and yon, choose chips B and D, and ultimately are satisfied.

you play with the honda a bit, scanning through banks of waves with glee. you decide to change chips again. you hold the eeprom select button and... the chips are displayed as E and F. you think, wait a second, i was on B and D? well, you were, but when you held the eeprom button, it jumped the eeproms to where the hither and yon knobs were when you were playing. you've effectively lost the place you were.

does this behavior sound normal? the honda seems to not recall which chips you were on when you last selected to change the eeproms, it always calls this information from the hither and yon offset knobs. correct?
