One of my favorite pastimes is patching up analog sequencers without using a dedicated sequencer module.

One method I've been using alot:

1- Eardrilll 077 Pendulum Ratchet = clock and resets
2- Eardrill Source Selector = 4x stages/steps of the sequencer
3- Buchla 255 = a tunable voltage source

Really works great - loads of variation is possible. But I've been thinking about alternate tunable voltage sources. Here are a few that come to mind:

Buchla 256e
Buchla 255
Verbos 254v

But what would be really cool IMO, is to use 100% Eardrill. So here's what I'm thinking:

1- Eardrilll 077 Pendulum Ratchet = clock and resets
2- Eardrill Source Selector = 4x stages/steps of the sequencer
3- Eardrill Attenuators = used to split a single voltage source into 4x tunable stages

So..... what to use as a single, stable voltage source using only Eardrill? I've never used a Pulse Balloon or S&H . . . could one of these work? Or . . . . ?
--------------------------------------------------

Solution found: Eardrill Slew ModuleModule

The patch is a quick demo to show it's possible to use an Eardrill "Slew" ModuleModule as a basic voltage source. This was done by patching the the Slew Out into it's In - then "jump-start" the feedback loop using an outside voltage (in this case, I used the Dlfo).

Probably not the Pulse Balloon as the CV would drop to 0 in a certain time, right? I may be mistaken.

Sample and hold should be cool though as you could feed it just about anything and change it whenever you feel like it.

A 266e could do such service too.

Or how about any of the touch plate input modules 222e/223e in polyphonic mode? Then you'd get easily changeable arpeggios.

Voltage accumulator?

Can't wait for your solution ....

Not so stealthy. There's been a fair amount of discussion here about them.

As far as a voltage source goes, I bet either the Pulse Balloons or the slew would be ok for this when set for maximum decay time, and hit regularly from the p/r. Personally, I'm waiting for the Morphun.

There is way too much going on, on Muffs it is easy to miss things. I will order them both when the double MM is ready to ship :-)

Actually, the Slew works perfect as a stable voltage source . . . . just patch the "out" into the "in", then jump start the feedback loop (as shown in vid smile )

Me too - Oh man, it's gonna be awesome!!

Cool.

The ModuleModule has a 10 volt regulator, so it would be quite easy to DIY a jack with 10 volt out.
