Heyzo! This is my first post.

I have been using exclusively a Eurorack system and some homemade oscillators which all use TS connexions. I have been strongly considering getting a Moog, specifically the new Taurus Minitaur, which takes TRS connexions for CV input. I am not trying to use specific voltages for precision... I really love experimentation and the magic that happens thereof, but I do not want to damage anything so I thought I'd ask you guys: can I just use a TS to TRS cable from Radioshack or should I build my own with specific grounding or whatever? My main scenario is sending pulse divisions and clean/distorted LFO voltages into the CV inputs of the Moog.

Thank you !

From Euro to Moog it would be 1/8" to 1/4" TS and it's unlikely you would damage anything. A little attenuation may make the signals more compatible but you'd need to look at the specs for the Minitaur's CV inputs.

Minitaur and most of the Moog products (including Foogers, little Phatty, Voyager), send ~5V on the Ring of the TRS cable so that passive expression pedals (such as the Moog EP-2) will work properly.

But nothing wrong with sending in 1/4" TS, in fact it's designed to work that way also. So send in filter cutoff from a powered ribbon controller or frequency from an analog sequencer along with Gate. (I've done both, works great).

You only need to be conservative when voltage exceeds 6VDC though I've read that they can take upwards of 10V with no worries.
