Hello, I am hopeful that someone can reccomend a free dowload of a multitracking recording program. I apologize ahead of time if this is a repeat topic but I have search for some time without a good idea as of yet.
I have tried Audicity which is fine except that you can not monitor recording in real time which does not work for modular when you wish to record all the tweaking.
And yes, I am too cheap to buy a program to record my sounds. I would rather use those funds to expand my modular.
Thank you for your input. |

You can use Reaper uncrippled for as long as you want, but it will remind you every time that you must pay for it. I think I used it free for about three years before I finally paid for it, mainly because I went from occasionally noodling on it to using it for actual recording.
It's very very good software, works on Mac and Windows, and seriously, sixty bucks? That is absolute peanuts. What module can you buy for $60? And there are so many excellent freeware VSTs that you can chuck onther as well. And how much is any other decent multi-track recording software?
So I reckon, download Reaper, use it for a while. Once you become dependent on it, pay the sixty bucks. |

I'm actually glad they did the promo... Been wanting to try out Ableton Live for a while now, and I hate 30 day demos, mainly because I tend to install, and then forget about it for 2-3 weeks o_O |
