Please listen with full range speaker or headphones. The bass is nice!
Special thanks to Chrome Dinette for shooting and posting this.
Single 2 row Euro case with a variety of FSU modules "driven" by Pittsburgh Modular Generator and GenXpander
and distributed to 4 channels via Doepfer Matrix Mixer to left and right speakers, sub and transducer driven hanging metal.

Fantastic. Did you get to rehearse much before with the sheet metal?

oh wow that sounds really interesting! so the transducer was wiggling the metal, being driven from the output of one of your matrix outs. did you have to amplify the metal noises at all? it sounds like you didn't , which mustve been fantastic sounding in the room. great set, i loved the repetition mixed with the 'abstract'. a fine blend.

I had a different piece of metal for a few weeks but had to switch it out at the last minute. This one worked out well because it had more sustain and was a bit louder. I use one output from the matrix mixer into a power amp and then onto the transducer. The metal acted as a speaker, resonator and sustainer. I'm really happy with the way it worked out.

Another way to drive the sheet metal that actually gets pretty loud is to get an "exciter" and attach that to the sheet metal.

Here is an example, though I have a bunch I got way cheaper:

I have a couple on a piece of sheet metal and it sounds good with guitar and drum machine.

Thanks for all the positive response. I'm so grateful Chrome Dinette shot this.
Sure, I'd be interested in trying to do an Akron show. I have some more ideas I'd like to work out with this approach.
