| The FoH Choices arrived this afternoon and I'm having so much fun with it - I can see why it's called a JOYstick. Thanks to everyone who recommended it. |

does it exist in beta - its stated PRELIMINARY on the Cwejman site for over a year now!!!
- i wonder how the joystick will function!!! - if its ever released!! | Likely to be 4x the $$ of a Choices if it keeps with Cwejman norms.
I had two Choices side by side ... one with the springs removed ... sold them both ...

No one has mentioned this option as well .... it's MU .. but still ...
http://www.synthesizers.com/q142.html
Quoting the info from the webpage ....
"Use the QPCJA Joystick adapter cable to control your synthesizer using a standard PC joystick. The adapter cable breaks out the X axis, Y axis, switch #1, and switch #2 signals which can then be patched through a Q142 pedal interface to create control voltages and gate signals. Control filter sweeps, modulation depths, sequencer on/off, etc. To capture all 4 signals you will need 2 Q142 modules. Cables are 12" long. User must provide PC Joystick with 15 pin D-Sub connector."
I know it's that sinful MU format but there it is nonetheless.

i have a couple joysticks sitting around and have thought about DIYing one for my system, but i haven't looked much into the active circuits behind the panels.
wat kinda stuff do you guys think are ESSENTIAL features for a joystick? the pushbuttons for gates seem like they would be super handy. |
