How it feels like? It is dangerous or probably, pleasant?
Direct VCO outputs most likely are 'hot' enough... almost like 9V guitar pedal battery?
I have to admit - I'm afraid to try - expectations attached below:

just dont do it with your car battery - it may only be 12ish volts, but its not just volts you need to worry about _________________ _________

Given your name 'ultrashock' I'd expected you to report first tongue experience. _________________ elektrograd |

I have not done this, but I have tasted a eurorack panel and can say it doesn't have the same phatty mouth feel that 5U panels have. _________________ Brian

do it again
oooh don't stop _________________ What they do is this: They leak current in proportion to the frequency of the signal. The ramifications of this can only be truly appreciated when solving nodal current balances in the Laplace domain, unfortunately.

I know for a fact that dude put a Modcan module in his pants and said that it is more sexually pleasant than the pleasure he gets from licking his tangy cables. _________________ Brian

If modular levels aren't hot enough, you can always use an output transformer. This is how muscle stimulator circuits work - some oscillation with a pot for frequency, a pot for amplitude. This Amrex one here is just a 555 circuit, but with a timer and electrical protection for the patient. A modular would offer a lot more variety!
You could use it for feedback: output the synth through you on one part of your anatomy, and control the signal with an EMG connected to another nearby area. The more you squirm, the more it zaps you. Or you can run your microphone through an envelope follower to modulate the signal, so that the louder you moan, the more love it provides.

I would expect the sensation to be much like putting your tongue across the terminals of a 9V battery - anyone do this as a kid? Perhaps I'm just weird. It hurts but I always enjoyed the weird peppery/sour taste that it had. Fucking hell - on reading what I just wrote - I AM weird. Sigh.
Cheers

I definitely did, and still do sometimes to see if a battery is dead or not. Feels good man. |

ringstone, you are definitely not alone! I used to have that habit of putting a 9V battery in my mouth when I was really young, for reasons unbeknownst to me. I do remember liking the taste so much, that I would rather suck a 9V battery than a pacifier. _________________ || The Mighty Souls || Modular Sketches & Patches || |

| I wonder this too. I will have to try with a carefully attenuated signal. Would negative voltages "taste" differently from positive? |

just searching the forums and saw this,
This happened to me once, when i first got my modular, i was just sitting around patching, i was thinking with the end of a patch cable in my hand (the other end in a doepfer noise/random voltage) I put that sucker right in my mouth scared the shit out of me! didnt really hurt, but i wouldnt do it again |

True story: the guy that gave me an Arp 2600 for cleaning out his storage unit said he used to hook it up to a couple of cock rings. Needless to say, the first thing I did with the 2600 was give it a good cleaning. ;)
Oh, and if you're wondering, 2600s weren't worth much in 1989. LOLZ _________________ Last module completed: Jürgen Haible Tau Pipe Phaser |
