As I understand she programmed some Oberheim gear for her Danceteria days and early record (The gear was supposedly robbed by "friends" before she signed a deal). She still uses synths including a Voyager on here recent tour.

Whatever the deal is I enjoy the early and even later Madonna synth jams.

Here's a few I like:

There's much more than this but you should get the picture!

A woman using an analog step sequencer is a very sexy combination. Kind of like wearing glasses.

The bass in "into the groove" is sick ... hell of a tune.

never thought much of her growing up, but god damn, stuff like 'Get Into The Groove', 'Lucky Star', 'Holiday', and 'Borderline' are some totally kickin' tunes.

+1 but her singing always put me off super hard. it's like its sped up or pitch shifted. I still listen to some of her records but slowed down as much as possible.

I've always regarded her as a kind of emanation of the devil, as she gets older she's beginning to look like it too

bit like Margaret Thatcher: successful businesswomen, no discernible talent, can't sing, can't dance, obviously evil, a most unattractive person in every respect, yet somehow hugely successful. seriously, i just don't get it

i loved nearly everything she did up until around 2000, but in the last 12 years or so there hasn't been anything i have liked. that's just the music though. as a person i've always found her pretty vile, all you need to do is watch "truth or dare/in bed with madonna" to see that. twisted

this is my fave, some serious 808 action:

??

she can sing and dance just fine. i think she was pretty good looking in the 80s (at least) too. and based on some recent concert footage, she's held up pretty well over the years. looks pretty damn good for being 53.

Never understood why everybody seemed to hate this song so much. Brilliant song and production IMHO.

i find her utterly repulsive. especially these days... she needs to be put out to pasture and have her thong license revoked.

Send links to maggie singing and dancing please.

Also, I agree with every opinion voiced in this thread.
