these "modules" are pretty cool, I made this random techno using the loom max for live devices.. not a single note entered just fooling with the gadgets etc..

I wont have time to look at loom for a few days. Id love details. The max link tells nothing about it. _________________ Imagine for a moment that life is meaningless and there is no hope. |

it generates random notes and patterns and loop points also randomly... all midi data also... so you can send it to whatever!
from the site:
| Quote: | Chromatic: select a pitch set from the equal tempered MIDI scale, with range and position settings.
Pattern: define a MIDI pattern as a series of pulses, with accent position and time scale.
Loop: loop the last few gestures.
Syncopation: vary note lengths based on Pattern's accent position.
Density: probability of silence (rests) vs gestures. |

i haven't had any luck getting it to run on my mac. :(
the max4live devices have no GUI when i drop them in a track. not sure what that's about. _________________ LABEL TWITTER FACEBOOOK SAMPLE LIBRARY

I've got it kind of working on my mac, but I have to add devices in a backwards order than shown in the video. Instead of it being Chromatic -> Rhythm it has to be Rhythm -> Chromatic. _________________

did you just get the max4live devices or did you have to install Ruby?
that's what i don't get... do i need that Ruby nonsense somewhere or just the max4live devices?
i'll try to place them in reverse order on a track and see how it goes. _________________ LABEL TWITTER FACEBOOOK SAMPLE LIBRARY

| I see on their code page that there are raw Max patches which they used for M4L. Looking forward to mucking about with those when I get around to more computer jams. They might not work minus Live as they currently are, but I'll check them out. |
