Hello. Just joined the forum - found out about it a few months ago. I've owned a Doepfer modular for about 15 years. I used to own a huge .com system, but had to sell it when I moved to a smaller place. I also have a few Blacet modules and a complete line of Korg MS synths, which I "modular up" quite a bit. I haven't really followed the modular world in the last 5 or 6 years and am amazed at the explosion of new modules available from different people/companies, so I'll likely add another Euro case and start filling it up.
Question: Is there a buy/sell page here somewhere? I might be totally blind but I'm not seeing it.
Here's some of my music |

If you do find the buy/sell section please make the most of it because it's going to be deleted soon. _________________ "I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down." |

welcome.
the buy/sell section is the cause of a majority of forum-related headaches for admins/moderators here. it was never meant to be the focus of this forum but, as the place has grown, it has become just that for many people.
unfortunately, and you were not to know any different so please don't take this the wrong way, people making hello posts which ask where the buy/sell section is just confirms our concerns. _________________ it does matter |

Can you start an official closed Facebook group for buy/sell or something?
just make it completely peer to peer..
That's going to make an interesting change in the economics of modular sales.. Hope it doesn't effect the site negatively (a lot of people visit for buying used modules). _________________ -]|- Low-Gain Electronics -|[-

if your statement were to sadly prove true then that would be proof that we were correct in doing it. buy/sell should not be the focus of the forum or the reason for it's success.
but, it's a very big if whether this happens or not. so nobody needs to start panicking. it's discussed from time to time but i promise nothing definite is planned just now. _________________ it does matter |

Take it to craigslist. Whatever. I think it'll make a huge improvement to this forum to lose BST. _________________ What they do is this: They leak current in proportion to the frequency of the signal. The ramifications of this can only be truly appreciated when solving nodal current balances in the Laplace domain, unfortunately.

i'm not surprised, know it's been coming, and would be happy for it to be implemented. i think it would be a step in the right direction to get things back to being even more positive again. _________________ Hermetech Mastering | Discogs | SoundCloud | Bandcamp | Facebook | Pathmusick |

Yeah, i'm not surprised either...
I can't even imagine how many people contact the mods with their silly disputes. Yeah, i'm sure some aren't silly, but the fact of the matter is that they aren't responsible or liable for the sales that happen in the BST (it says so in the rules), so people shouldn't be contacting the mods about this crap in the first place.
I'll be sad to see the BST go as it is basically how I've built my modular into what it is today, but I do agree there are a lot of people who mainly just come here for the BST. _________________

It's not that i think it's taking over what the site is about. but it's handy to be able to do everything in one place. Modular is very much a trial and error process where to buy a module and see if it fits is very common. If it doesn't we move it along.
To be able to talk all day long in a forum about this stuff and be able to sell things is great. all in one place.
If people are contacting moderators and admin for faulty sales. that's silly.. they shouldn't be. They have nothing to do with it. It says in the rules. It's simply moderated for posts and rule breaking other then that.. we all should know full well that we're buying/selling at our own risk and that MW has nothing to do with that.
Either way.. I respect the decision. I <3 Muffs either way. Lets bring on a big pledge drive out of this and get some cash coming to help support the website! This isn't eBay.. and there is enough cash being slung around where people should help support the site to keep it going rather than MW shelling out his own cash to provide such a space for us to do our bantering.

Sorry - certainly didn't mean to imply that that's all I was interested in. I've already enjoyed the discussion in the FracRack and Euro sections quite a bit and have gotten some great feedback to the couple of questions I've asked. As a result of some recents posts I've decided it's time to expand my Eurorack setup, which means I need a new case. Thought I'd just see if someone was looking to offload one before I bought a new one. That's all. |

I came here for the muff. I'd never pay for that, so I am okay without BST.
