Song Surachai made showing off the echophon. It looks like there is a module with knobs ands switches on it to his left which he uses to bring in a new element. It seems to function as a mixer with mute switches. What is that?

Make them yourself, buy them from me, buy them from someone else--just get some. They are essential IMO.

John - what is it? An A/B channel selector?

If I were King, every Eurorack module would have switches and buttons just like the ones on a Juno-60.

That module has 4 SPDT switches--either 2 into 1 or 1 into 2. I've built others as fixed/variable voltage sources, momentary, etc. in 4hp and 8hp sizes.

Switches, Pressure Points, a Choices joystick, and a Doepfer A-179 light to CV module are the controllers in my modular, and I'd say I use the switches at least as much as the rest.

I completely agree, O King, along with attenuators/variable voltage sources (make the latter by normaling the attenuator's input to e.g. +12V through a current limiting resistor).

I want a module with sixteen switches. That would be gangsta.

i like the idea of the plan b model 9 a lot...
owned two of them, both were pretty crappy i must say d'oh!

bled like crazy between channels. fixed it myself, after some fiddling around. but ended up getting a mutagen and use it how i was always hoping to use this thing

The A182 is a severely overlooked module IMO. It covered all my switching needs, especially for mutes etc.

The switched mults are cool, but they don't do mixing and they aren't efficient for A/B source selection.

I like that plan b module. If I had one I'd be using it all the time.

$65 + shipping/PP fees if any. I custom make whatever you need, though. More sales spam: I have a couple of lightly used 4hp dual switch modules in the BST here:

^^ Cuz' it's a leaky mofo!!

I have one and kinda love it and kinda hate it. It bleeds high frequencies on certain channels.

I wish there were a proper replacement. Something just a little smaller but I'd settle for the exact same thing. It's extremely "playable".

One of the first modules I ever got.

YO!

Yes, it was the Plan B Model 9 in both videos. The reason I decided to annihilated it is because it leaked so horribly (even handed it to PG and watched him "fix" it) that I couldn't justify even giving it to anyone. I love the idea of a mixer with switches and wouldn't hesitate to grab one if it was properly executed.

I've since replaced it with the Mutamix which has mutes (with an unfortunate action delay) and is very effective/does not leak.

I noticed that mute register delay on the Mutamix also, but it is quite a module, especially for the price.

Thanks for chiming in!

Action delay? What are we talking about here? Does it make it kinda useless for live play if you are bringing thing in and out of the mix?
Does Itellijel know?

this is the first report I have had of any latency with the pushbuttons. I have not noticed this myself from any tests but I will look at the code to see if I can optimize the response time.

Action delay = Latency. Its not useless for live play. I plan on using the Mutamix live as its feature set is extensive for a mixer. Though a bit of forward leaning rhythm is required with the mutes.
