In the beginning, I planned to play my modular with a pitch-to-voltage module and my bass for synth bass goodness...
But soon I learned what incredible incredible fun tweaking and wiggling is.
Today, I wanted to go buy some food and just sat down for 10 minutes to play with the modular for a little, needless to say, when I finally managed to get away from it, I had to hurry to make it to the store before it closed hihi

I was 100% about processing initially. Two years later I'm 80% about processing, 20% whatever

Starting with the PAIA 2700 in the 70s, a knob turner. It was about all those possibilities.

I love playing a good sound.
However, I can't play worth shit,
so if I want it to turn into some kind of music,
I have to have my computer play it for me.
Then I can commit fully to wiggling those big knobs.

Every now and then though,
I let the instrument play with itself,
without the involvement of either humans or computers.

Player. My sequencer is a naive and obstinate accompanist endlessly indulging in self-satisfied vainglory.

I have to play to drown out its conceit.

Cheers,
Roger

I voted player. I got my Eurorack as a processor but the plan has always been to process a synth played via keyboard (or MIDI) of some description.

OTOH My future plan is to play a Saxophone through it so I don't know what option that would be. It's certainly not a keyboard!
