Just seen this thread.
This is EXACTLY the kind of module I thought I'd be designing and DIYing soon because of the same reasons you cite in your earlier post. The Short Bus is great but needs a little more to it.
I would easily buy two of these.
Pair two of these up with a matrix mixer and it'd be a slick little performance/arrangement bank.
Definitely keep us posted on the progress with this. |

@ Gate-to-Trig - the more I consider this the more I like it. I don't necessarily want to lock it in, but having it be switchable would work for me. I could put 2 switches in the 'arrow space' - so you could switch 1+2 or 3+4 between G-2-T mode & regular gate mode. How does that sound? Bear in mind that switches are the single most expensive part in a module like this. (Yes, each switch costs more than the panel itself, or the PCB itself... even in bulk.) I could also do that with jumpers on the PCB, much cheaper solution but you'd have to pull the module out to make the change...
|
For me, I think I would prefer this to be a jumper on the PCB. I would leave the G 2 T "on" all the time anyway, so I would never use the switch. I'm sure there are probably a lot of people who would leave it "off." Keep the price down and leave the front panel less cluttered, I say... |

| ^^^ I like this suggestion. But please make the "channels" independent with separate jumpers for each. |

Ask me again when I'm done building filters.
I've bumped this one back due to the CVP launch, but since that project needs next to no development it won't be a long delay. I need to add proper LED drivers, test again, and then this is basically ready. _________________ Analogue Haven ∙ CTRL ∙ EquinoxOZ ∙ EFN ∙ Foxtone Music ∙ PostModular ∙ Schneidersbüro |

Ha! And I felt like a complete arse bitching on the DD expander thread how an OR-combiner would've been perfect as an addition to the DD.
Thank you negativespace, thank you very much indeed.
Count me in on this little baby. _________________ • • • • • • • • • • • • • |

This is an OR-combiner, so it wouldn't make a very good audio or CV mixer. There's a little bit of amplification and limiting between input and output, not to mention every input passes through a diode.

Just in case you were wondering, there would be a pretty big market for a Model 9 style mixer (i.e. A / A+B / B buses with toggle switch selector). How much more circuitry would it take to adapt your existing 4hp mixer to do this? From reading some past threads, I gather that the M9 never worked as intended and lots of people had problems with them. If someone were to do it right, I think it would fill a currently unfilled niche... |

And another question: switch on the third position. What the hell does "manual inject" mean? _________________ • • • • • • • • • • • • • |
