Anybody have a good tool or a nice way to tighten or loosen the nuts on the 1/8" jacks that metalbox uses? CUrious.... not much thread to grab there.

While not this particular pair specifically, I use something that looks a lot like this:

I think I got them in home depot for a few bucks.

You want the 6mm version of the knurled nut tool from Mouser, item B on this page:

http://mouser.com/catalog/catalogUSD/640/2273.pdf

They are not very precisely made; I had to buy two to get one that will reliably grab both of the slots on the nut.

I haven't seen one.. but a hex driver?

Metalbox uses the round knurled nuts with two slots; you could use a screwdriver except the protruding sleeve of the jack is in the way! hence the Mouser tool linked above.

Blacet uses hex nuts and any nut driver that is the right size (uh, 5/16th???) will do the job smile
