Yup. Roly Porter is a very special producer
Coming from a 170 background, I've a big soft spot for the Auxiliary sound; ASC and Synth Sense deserve an honourable mention
Although the releases below aren't exactly new, the label is still very current and pushing fresh sounds

br>Interesting thread! Really digging the floex stuff, roli porter was already on my list but really like some (not all) of his stuff. Threads like these are very inspirational.
I'd like to think that my own stuff is also heading in the more complex direction but probably not even half there. br> br> |

kind of enamored with these guys.. lotta detail to their tracks, recalls later Autechre etc. not sure if it's very complex, or if it's just complex-sounding.. either way, it has good flow. br> br> |

br>I've been super into all the new electronic music being submitted to the wonderfully continuously updated podcast/broadcast:
Data Cult Audio
A new artist every month. Lots of music to get into and learn about all the fantastic musicians contributing.
From the site:
Data Cult Audio is not an entity so much as a mission to explore and curate sound, music and noise created by electronic means. A mission that seeks to move beyond the boundaries and into your head.
Our goal is to present and expose others to the sound explorations of different artists. The common thread is that performances are rooted in electronics. Genres are not our business… sound is. br> br> |
