Finally got these two fuckers done.
Only 6 more to go? Second one was much easier and faster (and neater). Eight days into 2010, and I've already gotten more SDIY work done than in all of 2009! _________________ I, Parasite | The Sick Are Not Healing : Cope EP

My DIY-Fu is weak, I didn't get nothin' done `09. Baby steps. Big fat cry baby steps.
But it's a new year! And this year is going to be different. I'm going to finish my SN-Voice (finally) this weekend. By the end of February I hope to start & finish these kits:
MOTM 380
MOTM 390
MOTM 510 (yup, that was me. I'm quick like a bunny)
Fix my OMS 410 (I think I left too many parts off it)
Two CGS48 ala MOTM
Finish getting my 3 Evenfall VCOs in Frac panels
Finish and mod my second PAIA9720 and mod my first.
By the end of June:
Thomas White style Klee
Thomas White style MFOS Seq
Quad 281 clone
4 Thomas White style LPG clones
By the end of the year:
TLN-712
TLN-156
OMS Superladder (issue 2)
OMS Multifilter (issue 1)
JLH-822
JLH-831
2 JH Living VCOs
CVS
(wow, that's a lot of 5U. I never wrote it all down. I guess I'm going big)
All teh while starting my Euro rig with all the cool PCBs I've bought from Fonik.
And learn to fly and cure cancer and invent a robot pony and buy a submarine and bring peace to the planet Earth (or blow it up)
And I'm selling all my VW stuff to (partially) finance it. |

BANANA EUROFRAC - Started in 2009, finished in 2010.
30" for 150HP and 10 full size frac modules. (The patch in this image sounds like this)
Rear, Left to right - Doepfer reverb tank, Serge power distro, stack of two PowerOne PSUs with shared power inlet (1A +/-12v, one for Serge and one for the euro modules), a big PowerOne PSU (2A +/-15v, for frac and Modcan). I'll be rewiring my Modcan sixpacs so each will have a separate power feed from this PSU's distro. The PSUs are wired and mounted so as to be easily recycled to another box some day
Front, Top to bottom - Additional frac power distro, minimum depth is sufficient for 6.5" frac modules, MW's euro distro worked out very nicely. The metal frame has 30" Vector T-struts and the rest is from standard metal stock found at the big-box home improvement store.

Thanks for the comments. Since you were so nice I added a link to an MP3 of the first small patch after screwing in all those darn screws. It's what you see in the first image.

It's damn inspiring to see you post those stuffed boards. I have 4 of them and kits just staring at my face right now. You should stick some pics in this thread:

Maybe get some interest going on panel design etc. One thing I am curious about is why the hell did I buy four? I think I saw something about chaining these together, but am not sure where or when I guess I can stuff them and figure it out later! _________________ Brian |

Thanks!
I'll post in that thread when I have a completed module! These two are for my friend's DotCom, then I start a pair for myself.

For 2010 I hope to finish the keyboard I started building for our two SynthCases. We salvaged keys from an old organ and I now have them ready to be put in a case which I have yet to build. I have already populated two pcbs for this project - Ray Wilson's Single Bus 1V/Octave Keyboard Controller and JH's Living VCO driver section that was sheared off from the main pcb that The Electronic Peasant used in his last SynthCase.
The Peasant and I have been planning the front panel design, and are including the following features: pitchbend, a three axis joystick, multiple CV outputs, vibrato, octave switching and portomento/glide. In order to incorporate those features, some extra circuitry will have to be built in addition to the previously mentioned pcbs. Perhaps I will take the plunge and learn how to build on stripboard this year !
The Peasant outdid himself this Christmas as he did last Christmas by giving me the "Full package" of Scott Stites, Ribbon Controller (the "Appendage") which I am still excitedly waiting to receive. That is the other project which I hope to have completed this year. It will be amazing and will be able to be used together with my Keyboard Controller or as a Controller on its own.
Those are my projects so far for 2010!!
Take care,

Blacet, obviously. i started w/ PAiA years ago (4700 series), but blacet stuff is just an order of magnitude higher quality, IMO. _________________ www.fluxmonkey.com |

Yup, sell the paia stuff on ebay and switch to blacet. Unless you're one of the rare people who can get the paia stuff going in any sort of reliable way. _________________
