[DISCONTINUED THRU HOLE]-[BUILD] Neutron Orgone Accumulator.

Post by Neutron7 » Thu Jun 26, 2014 3:08 pm

Latest 2.0 (no rc)

DISCONTINUED! This version is discontinued, there is a new SMD version in the works, in testing now.
Not sure why muffwiggler inverted this, but here is a pic comparing the 2.

Image

Changes:
Still fits the same panel!
Thonkiconn jacks.
SMD (easy build, just 805 and SOIC)
Seperate op amps for output, pwm sub out, and v/oct input.
No more protection diodes, used 3v MCP600x Opamps instead.
Transistor gate/reset input
Power and heat saving option to use a switching 7805 replacement, with anti noise CLC Pi filter.
“Both ways” psi power.
component values marked, i built it without a BOM!
Got rid of 3v and -3v op amp contraption, aref is powered by ADP 150.
3v does not come up until teensy has booted and pin 13 LED comes on.

When its time ill make a new thread for smd build.

Here is build guide:

anyone who jumped the gun and ordered from my beta BOM, Sorry but i have changed a couple of things since you last looked. the vref driver IC is cheaper TLE2062 and the diodes were changed to BAT42. those diodes i had on the BOM were completely wrong, (the legs wont even fit the holes)

Shipping is usually on Tuesdays.

That is hard to say. I started with 72 when I put them up last night, and now 14 hours later I have 56boards/59panels left. that is probably just a peak, and will drop off in a couple of days.

If was crazy and they did all sell off, i would reorder before they were gone and it would take 2-3 weeks to get new stock.

people should be able to order multiple items now, i changed from "buy now" to cart format.

Does this require +15/-15V?

it is on the list! I guess i ought to move it up because people can use it before they get their boards.

i shall attempt to use their import tool.

EDIT: created mouser project and ordered it. ill just make sure everything is correct building one (particularly the headers, because i had to get them from 2 different manufacturers)

the beta mouser cart is is at http://www.mouser.com/ProjectManager/Pr ... a505f701a8

Everyone who ordered multiples has been issued a refund for shipping, i have to do it that way for now, the paypal order button system is quite simplistic.

I am looking in to creating a proper web store, but this will have to do for now.

one thing I must point out: if you remember the "neutron shield modulator" you could make one with this. (slight difference between i/o and knobs/switches) I will make a printable template so you can cover the markings and write your own.

The big difference is the CPU power. 8 bit 20mhz vs 32 bit 96 MHz.

it is open source. do what you like. but you are stuck with this layout,

If you want to to work with my board. that's what you get, but there is no reason someone else can't make a generic version with even spaced knobs etc.

Just got my Mouser order today and noticed that the part number next to the 22R resistors on the BOM actually is the part number for 20R's. Can I use 'em anyway?

I thought I linked to it on my web page, maybe it was on a forum post!

https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_download.html

Basically, it's the same as programming an arduino, but you have to install teensyduino "on top" of arduino 1.05
