Built a highly liquid MPA recently, and today some new Bug modules arrived so I hooked it up and had a quick jam, the weevil is providing all the synth sounds, the MD doing the drums:-

More info about the MPA here

I have it configured as a dinsync box with triggers and 4 CV's, pretty cool and cheap smile

Cheers

Great stuff Daren!

I've looked before at the HighlyLiquid offerings -- very interesting and seem nicely priced.

How are you hooking things up exactly? Are you using, perhaps, the MPA as a Midi controlled voltage source by tying the top of the 'pot' to +5v?

Thinking out loud -- well, I presume +5v as that's what's on the MPA board most likely -- that could be followed by a simple 2x non-inverting amplifier to give your full range of 0 - 10 volts...

Interesting!

cool stuff, i just watched this on matrixsynth

Cheers guys!

Tom, pretty much that way but using a LM324 as a buffer rather than an amplifier, I am only getting 0v-3.6v so will eventually re-do it once I work out the resistors I need.

I would not use it as a main midi-cv but for modulation and clocking its pretty cool, also John at HL is a nice helpful dude.

thumbs up
