Phase Distorsion Oscillator in a 8-pin DIP.

Make resonant sweeps without a filter.

Too cool, I'm going to need a bunch of these SlayerBadger! Any plans for a eurorack friendly PCB for your synth chips?

Nice timing! I'm actually working on a mostly analog CZ-style oscillator right now. grin (though it will have flash memory with lookup and conversion for doing other types of waveforms.) Seems that Phase Distortion is the cool thing right now. w00t Cool chip!
executiveBlaster
jan are you doing all of these on 8bit AVRs?!

I'd love to hear a demo of this CZ1 chip

Was there ever a time, when Phase Distortion wasn't cool? hihi

Nope. I suppose not. Mr. Green

Never. PD rules.

I will await the data sheet and see about bolting a few of these together but it would be nice to get a multistage envelope or two working for the full PD effect.

Yes, most of my latest chips are AVR based.

Doing the K5 on a chip without support for hardware multiply was pure hell Dead Banana

But I choose the AVR because ARM is not DIY friendly besides the LPC810.

And they are rugged and survive small mistakes.

They even run totally submerged under water smile

Is that a hint towards your next project, Jan?

The "K19, Widowmaker SubSynth"

I just meant they are rugged and can handle some abuse.

Didn't know you could make them with analog?

Ok, the CZ1 is in the pipe for release this week.

Due to the storm in releasing the K5/KL5 chip I suffer from a severe lack of blank chips. woah

It would be nice to know how many actually are interested in the CZ1, voltage controlled phase distorsion oscillator?

It has 1 pitch CV and 1 phase mod CV.

It would be nice to know how many blank chips to order?
snaper
Nice!
Do you think of more CV generator chips?
I would love to see something like the 266/Wogglebug in a chip grin

Yes

I bought the ATtiny84 as a complement to the ATtiny85 just because it has 8 CV inputs smile

id love to buy a bunch of chips from you - i just have no idea what to do with them...is there a possibility you could have a chat with someone who has a project you could work with as you have some really really cool chips and your work should be used......im gonna buy a couple of Ladik http://ladik.ladik.eu/?page_id=1167
And then just swap the chips depending on what you want to use...

Hang in there.

I have order 100 ZIF sockets so you will see something similar to the Simmons Eprom pad. smile

The KL5 Harmonic LFO chip is weird as h..

You wont find anything like it?

I would be in for 2. Maybe more. But at least 2 smile

I'd be up for a couple, maybe as many as 4. What sort of price range?

$20 including shipping.

I'll get an order link up later today.

Still waiting for blank chips.
janost
Order a single chip:

Order the CZ1 Phase distorsion OSC Chip $20

Or the 2-pack:

Order 2-pack CZ1 Phase distorsion OSC Chip $30

I need about 10 chip orders to be able to deliver this weekend.

janost
And it is phase distorted sine.

stevebryson
I'll order two of these chips on the off chance that I'll figure out how to build a module that uses them in the next year. I certainly don't know how to do that now hmmm..... help

But if somebody built a module for me I'd snap it up in a minute! Howzabout a module with two voices? applause
