Not So Tame ...

A quick recording testing some not so tame filter sounds.
All sound changes are done manually. (i.e. "tweaking knobs")
From what I gather that was just scratching the surface. wink
Not giving away what it is for the time being ... have a guess.
Hint: it's four older modules, two of them are VCOs (iss.3) providing the beating bass-ish source - and it's simple. wink

I just wrapped the URL with "[s]" tags. If you click the Quote button on my post you can see what it looks like. thumbs up

I see, thanks John!

I just made a sound which I believe is the most untamed filter sound I've ever heard.

Well, yeah ... just in case this didn't come across:
the whole point I was trying to make was the idea of getting aggressive and intense sounds
with smooth, controllable transitions from standard Oakley Sound Systems modules
(which is the focus of this forum!) rather than from an instrument (and I certainly dig Yves Usson's creations!)
which's been designed for that.

And as for another hint: it's not a Croglin! cool
(which I finally should try at some point!)

Sorry, I just jumped in and posted without even looking at what topic section I was in d'oh!

np!

BTW, the patch:

VCO1[RECT] > MULA[IN2]
(VCO1 tuned to taste but 1 Octave lower than VCO2)
VCO2[SAW] > MULA[IN3] (MULA has resonance bass compensation ON)
VCO1[TRI] > VCO2[LIN] (lin fm dialed in just from 4:10 onwards)
MULA[OUT1] > SVF[IN] (SVF Q about 25%, varied during playing, same with f)
SVF[HP] > Mixing Desk
SVF[BP] > MULA[FBIN] (that breaks the resonance circuit, MULA Q at about 40%, also played, same w/ f)
MULA[OUT4] > Mixing Desk

MULA = Multiladder
SVF = State Variable Filter
FBIN = Feedback IN, the resonance circuit tap

simple ... wink
