Patch testing a beautiful “Dual Algorithmic Oscillator” prototype that Grayscale Modular sent me to try out - essentially two Mutable Instruments “Braids” in one panel.

Wish I had more time to dig in… but WOW!! This is a PERFECT addition to a Buchla 200e/200r system.

Can’t wait to get one of these for my system…. absolutely incredible - and IMHO a great fit to the Buchla format!

More info here: http://grayscale.info/buchla/

Cheers,

Do want. The mutable stuff makes so much sense in Buchla format, an extremely rare compatibility.

That sounded great, thanks for demoing Adam

I love it! I may have to also get one of those sequencers, I didn't know it could do stuff like that!

Oh SNAP. And that wavetable chord mode Braids has...ooooh man. Yum.

That sounded REALLY nice.

Thanks for the video and the kind words – much appreciated.

Here's another quick video clip from a few weeks ago, basically just showing that the prototype was working!

More in-depth videos coming soon, hoping to start shipping these in about a month.

I am always late to The Party eek!

Where can I buy one of these modules now??
sempervirent
Hey, thanks for asking. Electric Music Store has a few in stock:

My favorite buchla oscillator right now. It adds so much to the buchla and is hard to make sound bad.

I am excited about all of the stuff coming in buchla format, especially the mutable stuff from 1979

In this video it appears that the preset waveforms are changing by CV
.
Which CV input does this?? Guinness ftw!
sempervirent
When the "META" mode is enabled in the settings menu, the FM input will modulate which synthesis model is currently active. Press the encoder and scroll to META, push the encoder to enter the menu and turn META on/off. The DAO lacks an attenuator for the FM input so you might want to attenuate or polarize your CV source using a 257, etc.

AHHHhhhhh YES!!

Thanx!!!

Wow, this looks like something to add

Mr Grayscale

Any webshop in EU that could sell your Buchla modules?
sempervirent
Unfortunately not, but shipping internationally is no problem.

Same question here. Guess I'll just have to pick up one next time I'm stateside.
