Hi all, I have a Sony PVM-2950Q. It works fine with S video but not with composite. With the latter, the image, when it is visible, seems completely desaturated. Any ideas?
tau_seti
Maybe composite doesn’t function the way I’d expect it? Just wondering.

Are you sure you connected the composite cable to the right input?
tau_seti
I am. Either there is something wrong with the composite inputs or they use some kind of other connection. Everything is fine with component.

Did you try wiggling it?

Sounds like a bad jack. How about the S-video does that work okay?
tau_seti
S video works. The problem with it being bad jacks (yes did try wiggling) is that it's not just that one input, it's all of them. Oh well, component is better and looks stellar. Guess that's that.

Composite NTSC looks B&W when displayed on a Composite PAL TV (or PAL mode).
I'm not sure what happens the other way round.
Is it like this?
