Just dipping my toe in the water here , about to start a Ming Mecca build and would like to contain it all to my case .

What are the options (DIY is preferred) for a monitor that can be euro mounted?
FetidEye
there is the LZX one, the Liquid TV:

and Razmasynth has the Display and the older Telewizor:

DIY, I don't know.

This is surely not the direction you want to go, but it may spark some ideas: Black Magic's little SmartView Duos fit in 3U and are only 50mm deep. I have two racked in a Black Modular Bento Box. They're high end and SDI and all that, but you can find them used for not a lot of dough, and converters are cheap (and can be USB powered). If you've got a rig that's 84hp wide in an actual 3U+ rack rail system, that kind of approach is an option...not strictly Eurorack, but 3U, and other brands may be similar, and cheaper.

I think Razmasynth is still selling the telewizor v 2 kits. Nice enough and has some CV driven animations/extra features.

I'm working on taking a 17" screen from a laptop and mounting inside the cover of my eurorack box. Screen was pulled from a 2007 Vaio laptop just need to buy a controller board for about $40. Problem is it's enough pieces that it all wont fit nicely into the nearly flat space I want to put it.

All said I have an old "HD" 480p monitor I keep on my desk.

Any good and cheap option still available today?

I made a panel using a reverse camera that I bought from Amazon. The screen was less than $20 here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009CYLJ5K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04 _s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I then glued it to a laser cut panel. The total width is 16 HP.

Jordan was at one time working on a solution for this - Ming Monitor. I tried the LZX Liquid TV and it does not look nearly as good as this - the colors are horrible and doesn't sync well. There are issues getting 240p signals to work with decoders but he got it working. Special Stage Systems has been in silence for many months unfortunately.

The decoder chip in the photo appears to be an MStar MST705-LF. I'm not sure about the board. Anyone?

Is this just for the Ming Mecca, or for all video signals? Everyone I have heard of that has the Liquid TV says it's amazing. I saw that Lars was asking questions about sync for NES/Sega so I assume this is something that he is working on making compatible with LZX.
