Sepultura were undeniable UP TO Chaos A.D. they lost me after that.
Suffocation were pretty ahead of their time back in the day. Effigy of the Forgotten and Pierced from Within are amazing groundbreaking albums.
i'm a huge fan of GODFLESH and Obituary, good to see those two mentioned!

Hey Knobtwister, thanks for posting that Gorguts song I have not listened to them yet.
|
I do have to say though, years after I heard Sepultura's Roots album, I changed my mind about it. When it came out, I was not feeling it, but now I love it.
Suffocation's Despise the Sun is also awesome. Actually, does it really matter which album you select
I miss Godflesh! I love all of their albums, but Us and Them gets the most plays. My favorite song off of their last album-
One of my favorite Obituary songs(well if they made the actual song a little longer)-

Gorguts... nice. Those first two albums completely annihilate!
I can't remember, did anyone mention Death? |

I can't remember, did anyone mention Death? | Yea, I need to grab some Gorguts albums. I listened to the track that Knobtwister posted, then I checked out a few other songs on boobtube. Fucking awesome
I think a few people have mentioned Death. Who cares if someone already did. RIP Chuck

OP had it right!
I saw Pungent Stech a few years ago doing an all covers set. Their song selection was inspired, disco and pop classics, and they destroyed!
They did this into a Chic medley...

That Liturgy stuff is insane sounding!
On the milder side- but I like Alchemist:
The video's kind of dippy looking, but any recommendations for metal that's more spacey/surfey/psychedelic sounding like that? _________________ "Noise is what the Earth is made of" - David Bowie |
