4017 sequencer/External clock/How to reset at start

Hello everybody,

I am currently prototyping my first Baby 10 type of sequencer, i am clocking it with my Elektron Analog Four, and everything seems to be working. However, I want the sequence to start from 'step 1' each time i start the clock, (or it resets whenever i stop the clock for that matter)

I couldn't figure it out yet, and couldn't find any proper info on the web either. Is this even possible with 4017 chips?

Thanks in advance!

Please ignore. It isn't as simple as I thought it was..

You'll need some switching to do this.

Well at least now I know that it's not a simple wiring issue smile

Anybody else have a suggestion about the switching circuit?

Is this the answer?

Does it has to be a 4017 based sequencer? This functionality is easier obtained with a 4051 based sequencer.
I have a schematic for you but it is Doepfer's A-155 (reversed engineered) so I don't want to post it here, out in the open. Please PM me if you're interested.
