I was going to call it a Tesseract sale but, a Tesseract is a cubed-cube. We're going one dimension further
Here's some data to reference while you read:
Q=QuAD /ASR Envelope Generator PLUS Quad VCA
A= 4 X Gate Delay
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/4x_Gate_Delay_Board
B= 4 X Mixer (not VC)
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/4x_Mixer_Board
C= 4 X Buffered Mult
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/4x_1x2_Buffer_Board
D= VC Mixer
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/Voltage_Controlled_Mixer_Board
E= VC Dual LFO
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/Voltage_Controlled_Dual_LFO_Board
F= QuAD /ASR EG
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/QuAD_/ASR_Envelope_Generator_Boar d
G= Quad VCA
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/Quad_Voltage_Controlled_Amplifier _Board
The sale:
The sale will consist of four kits of assembled/ tested boards, including appropriate wire kits and power cables of choice.
The core will be the QuAD /ASR EG kit and Quad VCA kit. That will start the order number sequence with a Q
The next two letters will be your choice to fill out the four-board order. i.e: the core kits with a VC Mixer kit and 4X Gate Delay kit would be:
QDA.
After the order designation will be a hyphen followed by the power cable of choice. i.e. -4 for 4-pin to 4-pin 0.156 MTA, -6 for 6pin to 6-pin 0.100 MTA or -E for 4-pin 0.156" to Euro 2x8 header.
If you want to daisy chain a pair of modules and you're going to be sourcing them through the 4-pin cable, use a /6 after your power cable choice of a -4 or -E. I'll provide two of your preferred cables and two 6-pin to 6-pin cables as a common power cable for two boards.
So, the above example with a 4-pin power connector selection that you want to combine boards on a single panel would be:
QDA-4/6
The quad-kits are now on sale until midnight PDT Sunday, July 11, 2010 for $399.00
Shipping for a maximum four kits via USPS priority mail is $4.95 domestic or $13.50 outside of the USA.
The best "bang-for-buck" for this sale would be to double up.
So, the QQ works best if you feel you need 8 AD's and 8 VCA's but:
If you want to add additional kits or, just grab some while the grabbing is good, the individual sale price during this period is:
A: 4 X Gate Delay kit= $ 95.90
B: 4 X Mixer kit= $ 94.50
C: 4 X Buffered Mult kit= $ 91.75
D: VC Mixer kit $ 99.50
E: VC Dual LFO kit $111.50
F: QuAD /ASR EG kit $106.90
G: Quad VCA kit $104.90
Since this is a MW-only sale. You'll have to PayPal direct to my PP address of mattsonminimodular(at)comcast(dot)net
I can fit up to four kits in a small, flat-rate USPS box. So, please include appropriate shipping for the box quantity required.
***Edit***
Oh, yeah. When you order, don't forget to include your MW username.
***end edit***
Thanks Guys. You're great!!!

maybe it is just me but this is very confusing/not enough info. but maybe that's cause I don't have a MMM system, and am used to euro/5U/keyboards..
what is in these kits? pcb? components? stuffed? pots? panels? I looked on the links provided but didn't see any else marked as a kit there.
maybe I'm just missing something???

the page explains what you get in the kits. you can buy assembled boards. you can buy wiring kits to connect these to pots/jacks. you can buy power cables. you have to supply your own front panel and pots/jacks. there is a list of available kits.

kit =
1) assembled board
2) pot/jack wiring cables with connectors on one end that fit onto circuit board headers
3) power cable _________________ it does matter |

Hi Giorgio,
Yeah, that's what I get for assuming.
The links are for the modulr board descriptions.
The kits are something I do here for when I offer a sale where I discount the board/panel-to-board wiring package and power cable as a "kit"
The title page of the entire DIY WIKI section would have been a good link to post for those that are new to my escapades
Sorry. Here it is :
http://mmm.sevcom.com/wiki/index.php/DIYcisions_DIYcisions
There was also a Matrixsynth post about it:
http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2010/01/diycisions-diycisions-mmm-circ uit.html
There's a thread here in my subforum that shows the entire thing unfold.
But, essentially, I intentionally chose to make a system in a new format for the purpose of being able to provide true, full-function modulars in a very small format. I knew it wasn't a great marketing choice but, it's slowly gaining momentum.
The upside is, I can offer my assembled/tested circuit boards to the DIY community and they can design/make their own panels in whatever format they choose, obtain the panel components and cosmetic attachments of choice and have a module that meets their qualifications and system requirements. It also allows them to modify their I/O, add more CV inputs, attenuators, multiple outputs, etc. Whatever they feel they need to be effective with their systems and patching style.
I've been amazed at the creativity exhibited by this group. Many of them will help you with whatever else you may need for panels, panel components, etc.
My "kits" are essentially an assembled/ tested module board, a wire kit that provides the wire cables necessary to connect the module board to the panel components and a power cable of their choice. That depends on what they have available on their systems. My boards have both a 6-pin 0.100" MTA header (pin 1=+15V, pin 4=ground and pin 5= -15V) and a 4-pin 0.156" MTA header (pin 1=+15V, pin 2 & 3=ground and pin 4= -15V)
My power cables are 4-pin MTA socket to 4-pinMTA socket, 6-pin MTA socket to 6-pin MTA socket and 4-pin 0.156" MTA socket to the Euro-standard socket for their power distribution 2x8 headers.
The majority of my modules work equally well on either +/- 15VDC or +/-12VDC power supplies.
If I get an order and they request a -E power cable, I make sure the board is optimized and trimmed for +/-12V systems if necessary. If they don't order a power cable, I'll ask them what they are using for power.
I think that covers it Giorgio. Just ask if you need clarification.
Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks Sandy.
Thanks for the thumbs up Giorgio.
Now, I need to take a typing course so I can respond faster

Giorgio, these MMM kits are so satisfying. It's more FIY (finish it yourself) than DIY so if you're feeling bogged down by the pace of your DIY projects, it could be just the thing to put the wind back in your sails.
The boards are tiny too which gives you a lot of flexibility for mounting to panels. |

Just a reminder that the sale ends at midnight PDT (GMT-7) on Sunday.
I've been playing with the Gate Delay--->QuAD /ASR--->Quad VCA--->VC Mixer chain and having a ball.
Now, I want another chain...
Modulars are addictive little SOB's

I'll be putting in my order at the beginning of next month. I'm broke until then. Don't take my delayed order as a lack of interest! |
