Silent Way 'Zeroing' out mapped controls

Hello!

I have been using our ES-8 with Silent Way and we are trying to map MIDI Controller knobs to various Silent Way plugin parameters that happen to be bipolar in range. A few problems have come up in that we can't 'zero out' a parameter (like smoothing, for example) for 2 reasons:

1) MIDI Controller macros are only 7b so the middle value doesn't line up with '0.000' or 'off' of various bipolar Silent Way parameters.
2) MIDI Controllers don't have centre detents that will work.

We would be happy to have unipolar control somehow - this would allow us to dime the knobs and not look at the computer to reset something back to zero.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

How are you doing the mapping? With the DAW's own system, or SW Learner?
PM33AUD
The DAW 'Configure' mapping (Ableton Live).

Try using SW Learner, which has specific code to handle bipolar parameters with a centre zero.
