A friend was asking my opinion on the C906B. I've had one for a while but hadn't really put much time into it yet so I fiddled around with it and recorded some of it. Not a scientific or even reasonably well thought out demo, but maybe better then nothing since there isn't much in the way of demos for this module?

A.) Trippy stuff! Loverly ... could let stuff like that play on and on whilst soldering and wiring.

2.) Ever notice how the wave form representation of a SoundCloud file looks like a city skyline with it's mirror image reflected off of a lake or ocean shoreline?

III.) I'm sooo cool .... oh ho yea ... just soo frelling cool .... and yet I don't ~get~ these low pass gates or high pass gates .... how do they differ from low pass filters or high pass filters? Is it because I'm so damned cool?

FOUR.) meh

laters ....

Don Buchla used the word gate for VCA and if you think about it, it made more sense. Rarely are VCAs capable of amplification.

So in essence a LPG is just a low pass vca. Meaning it does some filtering while gating the sound. . . . a buchla LPG or derivative['s] . . . characteristic sound is largely due to the vactrols.
