Syncussion SY-1 in Eurorack

Here is my take on the popular Syncussion drum synth.

As you can see I decided to split 1 drum channel into 2 different modules.
One is the synth engine and the other one, the modulation sources.
I used 2SC1815 and 2SA1015 transistors as in the original Syncussion.
The power circuit is different than the one in the Syncussion making the module noise free.
All components are through-hole except for the ICs and a couple of capacitors.
Therefore it is rather DIY friendly.

Yes, it will.
I will offer it as kits and PCB/panel sets.
And perhaps built modules too.
Stay tuned !

Great stuff.

Any chance of slightly larger ABCDEF indicators at all please? They look a tiny bit tiny to my eyes! Guinness ftw!

Ok here is the new front panel with bigger ABCDEF letters for the Osc. Mode.

I'll make a couple of vids at the end of the week.

If interested, have a look at the order thread. cool

The future of this project...
As said in the 2nd batch order thread I will not run another batch.
From now on I focus on assembled modules.
However, for the DIY community and those interested in kits, I contacted Thonk a couple of weeks ago and asked them if they would be interested in kitting SY-CORE and SY-MOD.
Received a reply last week with an offer.
Replied to the offer and no reply for a week now.
So, at this point, I don't know.
Therefore, the time being, I have decided to make available bare PCBs (with no SMD IC's populated) in my shop.
Means, you guys will have to source all parts, solder the SMD parts yourself and make your own panels.
I'll update the BOMs with the SMD parts.
Bamboombaps
im trying to find them on the shop but its not there?
Modulart_JP
They will be soon. thumbs up

SlayerBadger!

w00t ordered a pair!
Do you plan to make the PCBs still available in the future ?
(oops, 2 x sy-core + 2x sy-mod = No hp left on my modular grin)
Bamboombaps
great, ordered!

anyone doing a panel ? a core+mod combined maybe?

Same here, just ordered the PCB's. Would be greatly interested in panel sets if anyone is willing to sell their designs/creations. Guinness ftw!
Modulart_JP
You can always download the FPD file and have the panel made by FPE/Schaeffer.

Thank you for making those files available on the Pharmasonic web site. It is most likely I will end up following this route. Guinness ftw!
