Someone gave me this:

Anyone know anything about it?

I can find basically NOTHING online.

MCS is the company that made the Movement Drum Computer.

It appears to be some kind of super early sampler.

I have no power supply for it and it has a multipin input jack, so assuming it needs various voltages. Probably 5v for logic and +/-12-15v for audio?

Who wants to help get this thing working?!?!?! hyper

I wonder if that is the one that was up for auction a decade ago...

That is all the info I can find on this thing.

I wonder if it's somehow connected to Tim Orr and the Powertran MCS1

http://www.muzines.co.uk/articles/powertran-mcs1/1473

and what looks like original article with schematics

http://www.spontis.se/pdf/emm_mcs1.pdf

Or the earlier Powertran Delay (with optional sampling function but without midi)

Yes, the guy that gave it to me bought it from that auction. He was a big Coil nerd and just had it displayed in his office for years...

It could be? Maybe worth trying to email that guy... It definitely doesn't have MIDI and has no screen of any kind. That schematic has 9v power so I guess that's a safe place to start...

Maybe Pete Forrest (Mr VEMIA) can help ?

I'll just throw up some random links that hopefully might lead in the right direction. Googling further I don't think MCS and Powertran were connected
