Author Is there a SDIY gerber repository?/PCB panel advice

Hi,

A friend of mine works at a University and she has access to a PCB printer and she has asked me if I would like to get a few PCBs printed to use up the last academic year's resources. She will help with the printing etc so I am covered with that part.

I have given the forum a search and there is a multitude of information, too much for my tiny brain.

Are there some trusted places where people share their gerbers and panels?

I'm looking for euro and THT preferable, but SMT could be cool.

I'm not really sure what type of PCB i would like, but LFOs, modulators and VCAs are probably top of the list. Weird and wonderful is great, and so is mundane and functional.

Thanks,
Panda

Have you ever heard from gihtub ?

A few in my Github, or easy to make gerbers from Eagle files: https://github.com/TomWhitwell

Mine are usually optimised for 'normal' PCB fabrication (Seeed, OSHPark etc) - I don't know if you need different settings for a PCB mill

Yes I have heard of GitHub and the devs i work with use it everyday so I thought it was for software. So didn't realise it was hardware.

Thanks Tom. I guess I will find out about the differences between normal fabrication and a PCB mill.

Might not make anything too involved the first time around.

There are a couple links compiled in here: https://github.com/jonmoshier/awesome-open-source-synths

mainly mutable instruments stuff but you can find a few other modules. the list is currently a WIP.
