Author Question due to tolerance of resistor networks
sicpaul
Hello experienced wigglers,

while planing several octave switches for VCOs i thought of using available resistor networks, but i do not know what their given 2% tolerance is for:
A) all internal resistors equal but max 2% from nominal value
B) all internal resistors may vary 2% from each other (and from nominal value)

Can anybody explain?

Thanks in advance
Paul

It's 2% from the nominal value. The resistors are actually extremely close in tolerance. I was worried about this too for my semitone and octave selectors, but it's a non-issue.

If I remember correctly they're laser trimmed, but I'd have to verify that.

Thanks Dustin,

seems to be good news, so i'll give it a try
