I’m trying to use an old oscilloscope for my eurorack and was hoping to use a cable that was less rigged would this work?

probably, although its hard to say for sure, as there are 4 contacts on the 1/8" plug side and the bnc side only has 2. there isnt a description of which ones go where.

good explanation.

The easiest way to get a suitable cable is to make one. BNC connectors need a crimp tool, so buy a premade cable and cut it in half. RG-174 and RG-179 are thin and flexible like patch cables. 3.5mm connectors can be easily attached with a soldering iron.

Regular scope probes can attach easily to 3.5 plugs, then just plug the other end into whatever.

An off the shelf solution is to use a 3.5 to rca cable with an rca to bnc adapter on the scope.
