Guidance needed Organelle/Hyve mashup

Author Guidance needed Organelle/Hyve mashup
Nidopallium
Hi,

I have had an idea that I want some guidance with to help me see this through.

I want to create a hexagonal touch plate (like a hyve synth) to run a couple of simple organelle patches. As the patches are puredata, can I run them off a Raspberry Pi?

I also need serious advice about how to construct such a thing.

I have never coded or used a a Raspberry Pi before. I can do simple soldering effectively but have mainly soldered to repair pre existing circuits.

Can anybody guide me to some good resources on the web or offer sensible advice?

Thanks

you could take a look at the capacitive touch library for arduino, or maybe a makey-makey. sparkfun also has touch sense breakout boards.
