So how hard are these to find?
P.S. This is my first post, I've been watching this forum for awhile, so if you would please...

Save your cunt fuck remark, I'm into metasonix and I'm after something in particular, something that can not be offered by anyone else. I know there were only a few number made, and first and foremost... I know the owner is an unruly cunt. But a fucking great cunt at that. So instead of hazing me and giving me all the bs you would of some spambot or some douchebag NIN loving homo, give me a real response, and some real respect.

There were 100 made, Big City Music bought the last of them, they should be the first people you contact if your actually trying to buy one.
Don't expect it to be cheap if you can even find one at all!

Just checked there stock, 1250US for a pedal that looks like it was the last painted, cause it got fucking boring painting yellow pedals/graphics by hand...FUCKING bullshit.

Any particular reason why you want a TX-2 specifically? Why not just build a Metasonix euro system or get an S-1000? I realize that the two solutions I listed may not be the same as a TX-2, but they are still Metasonix and are far more attainable.

All i can go off of is youtube, I've been through most of metasonix unit test-runs by different users. I choose the tx-2 specifically because it's distinctly the sound I'm looking for. On top of that I use pedals, not boards or racks of any kind. If I were to go any other direction it would most likely be the kv-1000 but even then it isn't really what I'm looking for.

I got mine for 1000 bucks about a year ago. I have not seen another. I feel you about wanting it bad it was worth the wait. I run my kaossilator through it and its sweet. There's always some idiot chanting the nin thing but its just sour grapes. It's way Kool and sounds like nothing else I have used and can even be very subtle if you want it to be. They are gone, no more, zippo... The only place you will find them(new) is BigCityMusic because they bought the last of them, That is why they can charge whatever they want for them, because they have the last of them.

No, they aren't going to get any cheaper, only a fool would sell one for less than what they currently go for d'oh!

Unless they like selling a dollar for fifty cents...

Buy one used or buy a NOS box from BCM, or just learn how to engineer a sound that is similar.....

These have been sold over and over again enough times until they either made it into the garbage or into the hands of someone who won't part with them. BCM is the place to get them. If you weren't going through them you wouldn't get a better deal anyways. All I can recommend is save up your money or check out the R series.

Anyone wanna volunteer for a good demo of one in use? Not just the sonic destruction aspect, but the various shades (of Hades?) as well. All of the web demo either sound like shit (recording process) or cover the awesome destruction of the device. I've no idea what the various pots sound like when manipulated...
