Desktop synth stands

I know there is a thread somewhere about studio furniture , but with the influx of table top instruments, can we list some makers ?

Personally I’m interested in European ones, not instrument specific , just some general tiered stands.

Jaspers with some home made wood plank on top to be able to put many desktop synths if needed.

I have had the pleasure of hanging out with Rooftree at a couple different knobcon events. Great guy to chat with and a very solid product! Well worth a look and you will be supporting a fellow wiggler!

I've been planning to reorganise my messy rathole into something like this:

P.s. Stolmen is now seperseded by the Elvarli series.

Does anyone happen to know of something similar to Jaspers stands to set on a table/desktop? I have a big desk that I'd like to put 2 or 3 tiers on top of...
I suspect I will have to make it myself.

looks like a good option for tabletop tier?

Not tiered, but I like the Rain Design mStand. Bit pricey unless you can find one second-hand, but it's a stable and indestructible single piece of aluminum. Good angle and it has a cord pass-through in the back so placing a second instrument or controller on the table surface in front of it is easy as an alternative to a tiered design.

You can buy two and an adapter to tier them.

i actually really like the look of this. anyone done it with the elvarli who can testify to its load bearing stability? A bunch of analogue synths is going to weigh a bit more than some shoes?

I'm moving into a new basement studio in Jan and I could see these peppered around the room.

Great recommendations , but with respect, can we keep this to the premise ‘desktop’ stands. There are already threads about general synth stands.

thumbs up

These are amazing, thank you! Can't believe I hadn't thought of extruded aluminum for this, I used to play with this stuff at work all the time and I was actually considering it for something on my main studio desk a few months ago....

My current set up isn't much of a stand...I have two 4U rack cabinets next to each other sitting on the back half of my desk. It's not optimal for usability but since I'm only using the top 1U on each side, the bottom empty 3U makes nice storage for my Erebus and Lyra 8. TipTop Mantis sits on top, and usually a small synth or something next to it. Depending on what's going on I either have my Pittsburgh structure/beatstep on the front part of the desk or my Pro 2.

Semi-dumb question: Do you use the gear directly in this stands or do you swap stuff around for a particular project?

I have a really nice Jaspers three-tier A-frame that I reinforced with some of their extra parts. I can’t imagine using anything taller regularly. Right now my purchase of gear is limited by space (and time) more than money. The only way for me to add more fun things is to go vertical and swap around.
