Author TM 3030 resonance problem

Hi,

I have finished my TM 3030, but I think it has a problem.
When I turn the resonance Pot, the volume of the sound change but not the resonance.
I use a CA3080E.

Welcome to the forum. thumbs up

You need to have a look at the circuitry around Q26. There could be a short circuit somewhere around there. Check around C43 and C35 too.

Hi tony,

I find no short circuit.

The first time I connected the power supply, i plug it to the audio out pin.
d'oh!
It is a very stupid mistake, i know.

I maybe destroy something, but I don't know what kind of component (electrolytic capacitor, chip, transistors ?).

Apart from the resonance control does everything work on the TM3030?

If it does, and only the resonance doesn't work, then the fault will probably lie around the resonance pot or Q26.

Unfortunately, I can't tell which component is at fault as there are various ones that may be causing the problem.

OK, I will replace the resonance pot.

There is sound that are comming out the TM3030 but I need to amplify it when the cutoff and resonance pot are to the minimum.
When these 2 pots are to the minimum I can hear a little sound and white noise.
When these 2 pots are to the maximum, the tm3030 sound good but without resonance.
