*03/02/13*
Just wanted to post a thread showing the progress of a project I have in the works over the next couple of months. I don't have a lot of time as of late but I had an acrylic panel made by my good friend Bryan Benting.

I then asked my girlfriend to do a collage on it.
She did an amazing job IMHO. It's all about the love baby Lotsa Love Lotsa Love !
And i LOVE her representation of me (i'm the cat on the right).
hihi hihi

Anyways. I'll be posting pictures showing the progress of this build.
The plan is for a 16 step programmer sequencer. Should be a quick build when I get the chance to put it all together.

Here's a picture of the collage on the panel. I wanted to take a shot of it before I cut out the holes that are behind the artwork.

here is the panel layout:

PCB's received! I have resistors installed I just need to snap a new photo. I should be able to finish this off in the next few days. Haven't decided if I'm going to make it 1/8" or banana jacks yet.
Banana is preferred, but my banana system is a little lacking at the moment.

More updates soon!

My girl and I did this a couple times.
I found that a layer of double sided tape is the ultimate backing for doing collages on panels.
Modge Podge the crafty ladies stuff from the 60s, we got some of that and it works kinda great for layering the collage art/ giving a uniform finish, i have a feeling its real close to just being elmers glue. (krylon spray on finish will make some paper translucent without a prior layer of modge or elmers)
A friend just gifted us his old doepfer case with PSU inside so last night i had her building all the tiny random boards i have CGS04, CGS Real Ring, NLC Neuron Difference rec, So she can build her own bananafied euro / something easy to learn to build on.

if your girl supports modular instead of trying to get you to watch chick flix KEEP HER !

I'll be keeping track of your progress.
Just this afternoon, I've been working in FPD on a panel that approximates a TKB using Ken's Sequencer/Programmer and upcoming Touch Keyboard PCBs.

She used a glue stick for piecing it together and coated the panel w/ Modge Podge. So far it's holding up great. I like the textures that Modge Podge creates. Good stuff.

Sorry to derail but what are these Touch Keyboard PCBs you speak of?

Ken hasn't published any documentation or made them available yet, but I'm hoping we won't have to wait too long!
I believe they are based on this article - http://www.cyndustries.com/synapse/synapse.cfm?pc=39&folder=jan1977&pi c=26

I'm afraid that's as much as I know.

Looks awesome, I think I'd wait for my gf to be upgraded to wife before I let her touch any of my toys.
