don´t know what genre, but WTF (?)-> been listening to this the past 6 Months, never getting tired of it...
if i were a dj, people would be hearing this twice every set..

SlayerBadger!

has ANYONE heard of them before ?

as for genre, accurately generic detroit techno, there was tons of this stuff around early to mid nineties. This is on an Octave One or Kevin Saunderson kind of vibe.

^i´m on it, and you´re right. sounds like those newer skandinavian tunes are directly reminiscing the detroit vibes...
find it really interesting.

thanks for octave one and kevin saunderson

Man, I don't know, that hits a bunch of things. It starts off reminding me of Wolfgang Voight's Studio 1 stuff with some early Farben as well. Then some dub techno and finally I wouldn't know what to say about that lead synth.

Thanks for sharing.

God damn all the youtube videos + slow internet so I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but

John Digweed - Global Underground 019 / Los Angeles

Matthew Dear/Audion - Audion

Old Jimmy Van M

I'm working on a deep house mix using my turn-of-the-century records and will post it soon. It'll be dope.

Planetary Assault Systems made some pretty dark, raw techno in the 90s. It was on the Peacefrog label. Luke Slater has some other projects with similar, and very dissimilar sound.
