really liking the krell sounds in part 1
indexofmetals
part 2 & 3 a more harmonious krell sound (can you send mp3 of these?)

I think you're going to need a 2nd delay

Wow, that sounds amazing. I listened to it all.

Only so few modules? I have no idea how to accomplish that. I do have an AudioWeevil 08 though and it is pretty amazing.

Sorry for the ignorance but is bugbrand somehow designed for this type of style over let say accurate pitch and more traditional sounds?

with so few modules anything like accurate pitch or more traditional sounds arent easy to come by.
as time goes by you can of course add more modules to shape the sound even more, and with the right control system in place and right settings on all the various modules you could get close to more traditional sounds.

but imo thats not the beauty of these mosters in full flight, it is all those wierd sounds that make me feel like im in a 50s sci fi film love

bar|none - you can patch up more traditional pitch based sounds just fine, the vco tracks well (at least 5 octaves I believe, haven't tried it as I only use the touchplate), but the bugbox does talk you into stranger territories

Thanks everyone for your kind words :-)

I used a lot of cross patching to connect almost every I/O to the mix. This way I had a lot to control/play with, despite the small amount of modules...
The 'style' or approach on these tracks are more a result of my personal taste than anything else. The BugModular has a quite unique sound, but you could make it fit most musical genres if treated properly.
Really looking forward to add more modules in the future!

I credit BugBrand for making me leap to modulars. I picked up an AudioWeevil 08 used on a whim and it was so cool, it pushed me over the edge.

I was really wanting to stick with bugbrand but seemed like the modulars are rarer than unicorn poop at the moment and as a noob there was pretty much no hope in acquiring.

So I went with Euro which is just fine for me for now.

But congratulations one some really nice tracks.

i think with time it will make some great melodic tones - i sampled alot of pure waves and tuned osc tones last night to sequence and get a feel for how it sounds in a melodic sense- i might try a mix later , the machines definately got a character all of its own - the banana jacks are for me a huge + but also the vibe in general is quite esoteric - design - sound -layout , its certainly instant weirdness if you want it to be but theres nothing to stop it making lovely mellow and tunefull sounds in time - a midi to cv convertor etc maybe or a nice bugbrand sequencer module or 3 smile and it will be cool.I can see it making some amazing lead sounds when i have the env's and stuff needed . . . the osc and combination of 2 can do everything from super creamy sines to speaker stredders.

Impressively heavy sounds!

Sick! Beasts, indeed!

The more melodic elements in III are quite fantastic, reminds me of circuit bent sounds, albeit very well controlled - the Bugbrand modular definitely has its own thing going on.

Everyone with Bugbrand modulars, please keep these demos coming!

Thanks and enjoyment - yes, it is so great to get so many sound postings coming in - a real buzz.

Pitching is definitely possible (and perhaps even encouraged?!) - the VCOs track well and I've used them a few times with external Midi to CVs (got the Paia M2CV and awaiting the new Blacet one). Also check the Klee Contra thread for more traditional sounds (?!). Ideas for pitching / playing methods for the system are still going around in my designs / mind -- certainly I'm keen to get back and expand the clocking & seq stuff I've done a bit with before. I don't often play with a Midi to CV setup, but it is good to be able to use this too - though most of the time knobs / touch control / & joystick make for plenty of fun without.
