If I had the cash, definitely - perhaps kits would be a better option? _________________ Unique designs and ideas in sound since 2005:

Kits would rock! I'd be in for that.
But just to be clear - we're only talking about the top panel? Not the keyboard? _________________ Information regarding the Two Thousand Six Hundred DIY project - > http://www.thehumancomparator.net

Weird I was just getting out of the shower thinking about how much I'd love to own an Easel!
If I had the cash I would totally be interested. When I have the cash I will be totally interested!

| Wd def go for a kit, couldn't affort a ready-built unit. Board, pots & panel wd be ideal. It would have to have permission from Don B as well. |

Part of what makes the Easel unique is the integration in the packaging. It is just the right balance of flexibility and compromise that really works to make a true instrument and not just a collection of modules.
I don't think you could duplicate that in a small package, even as a kit, very easely |

would be amazing. I would consider selling a load of modules to fund it. _________________ Elemental on SoundCloud |

Yes but it would probably require me selling some things. _________________ http://recoilsun.bandcamp.com/
If only someone would invent a synth that would allow the end user to determine the functionality. You could pick which functions were important to you in 'modules'. A 'modular', if you will. - Stretta |

| I'd opt for a kit, I'm pretty much done buying already built synths. |

Would this be a Verbos & Associates project?
If your 258 and 254 clones are any indication of the build quality and overall sexy-factor, yes indeed. |

If the Verboss 258 cost $1000.
I guess he can't do an Easel for $3000.
But it would be cool if it would hapen one day.
I've been thinking about it for a while.
Or i have to find someone selling me one _________________ WTB Buchla 100 modules

Any portable instrument that manages to strike that balance as well as the Easel does would be something worth doing. It doesn't have to be an Easel clone. I'd welcome a new instrument inspired by the Easel. |

Grant Richter should do a package off his designs in a portable unit! _________________ WTB Buchla 100 modules

Next time you jump out of the shower you should be thinking about how much you would love to have the money for a Buchla Music Easel!
But if it was somehow for 3k, I would be absolutely down for one. I'm all about portability, and this does seem to strike a balance between functionality and portability that not many other systems have... that is if it include a keyboard (wishful thinking). |
