Yeah, in fact that's how all my prototypes were wired. Then, right before I offered them publicly, I realized I could put a Euro header on the daughterboard and save everyone the trouble of getting a custom power cable.
I believe there are spare +v/-v/gnd pads already on the CGS202, too. Just use those. _________________ Analogue Haven ∙ CTRL ∙ EquinoxOZ ∙ EFN ∙ Foxtone Music ∙ PostModular ∙ Schneidersbüro |

| Thanks negativespace! Got this baby working. Sounds amazing! ended up using all polypropylene caps rather than polystyrene. Had to get creative fitting them in there. Would love to hear the difference side by side. |

I need a little wiring help for the Sub Board.
About a week ago , I installed some 5 pin headers and wrote down a guide for the wiring (with the PCD edge with the headers facing me sticking up).
(left) NHKIF (right)DUBAC
So , that's how those are wired to the CGS202 board.
The other connections J and E went to J and E on the CGS202.
Where does the Out/M pad on the Sub Board get wired to ?
I've wired it to the M on the CGS 202 but after looking at Kens page , it seems the M pad should be connected to the wiper from the input att. pot. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/cleaninglady

| That is correct Out/M goes to M, the sub board is the "same" as the wiper from the input att. pot. If you check the schematics everything to the left of the M on the cgs202 is the sub board. But expanded two two inputs going to a mixing op-amp. |

Thanks iopop!
Unfortunately , i'm still feeling quite confused on this one.
Everything left of the M on the schematic i see :
A 50K log pot with Tip to one side (CW) ,
Wiper to M and the other end of the pot (CCW) to Ground.
Where does the input att. pot wiper go ? To M as well ?
It might be obvious but i'm not getting it. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/cleaninglady

Sorry for being unclear.
In essence it should be as simple as wire up the input jack and attenuator pot as on the schematics, then connect the wiper to one of the IN pads on the sub board. Repeat the same operation for the other input channel. Lastly connect Out/M to M on the cgs202 board.
Forget what I said earlier. It was before the morning coffee. |

Got it .
Sorry all ; i just don't have the faceplate yet and i'm trying to make sense of it all.
Completely forgot about those two inputs !
I was looking at the early pics of Jason's board and failed to look at Clarke's Panel just above it !
Blair , thanks for the pics. Hope it helps others too.
PS
(Does the Ground buss go to the CGS Board or is it just for structural integrity ?) _________________ http://soundcloud.com/cleaninglady

I tied it to 0V on the CGS board via one side of Lower Comb Out socket. That ground buss wire looks like it's been in a fight as I originally had 16mm pots there, but then it didn't fit my case... _________________ Ecclesiastical Scaffolding Facebook

Here's some video sounds...
https://vimeo.com/43644524
Modulating Cwejman VCO-2RM with ultra slow Sine from ULFO then to Input of the Serge Resonant EQ.
Then taking the Lower Comb Out of Serge Resonant EQ into the second Input.
I dial in the Lower Comb Out i little way in.
You can hear the rich harmonics from the Resonant EQ as the ULFO sweeps the Oscillator output. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/cleaninglady

i had a problem fitting mine in too, but it wasnt the panel, it was actually because i used pots that were a little bit too large for the inputs. once i switched them to something smaller, it fit fine, the panel is the right size.
so you might want to check the input pots and see what size/kind they are.
(mine was all done on a doepfer P6)
i still havent gotten mine working properly though. someday ill try to troubleshoot it, but ive been putting it off and building other modules instead. |

It's definately the pots. Just change them out for 9mm Alpha's and it'll be fine ! _________________ http://soundcloud.com/cleaninglady
