Hey Jamie, good to hear from you
I sold my old 200. MONEY! Fenix is seriously filling it's shoes but Buchla lust is still there..
Do you still have your Serge?
thetwlo
never mind-- too long, and pointless--had to remove, will edit and put something back up.

Excellent stuff!

Thanks for posting, Blue Meanie. What are you sequencing with? You didn't get the III right?

Thank you! 8_)

No, I don't own a Fenix III. Tunnel vision was spliced together from a long session with no sequencers. I'll walk you home had a fat controller driving the SY-1 for drums and the Fenix II sequencer for the one repeating line. I played the bass live via the Fenix using VCF 3 and the other high melody was an MS-10.

Obviously a synth can be any thing you make it but my main concern is that is seems more geared to be a musical instrument more so than an abstract noise maker.

Any Aussies own one? I would be interested to see how much postage would be.

While the Fenix can definitely make abstract noise, there are probably other modular systems better suited to the task.

That is also, an odd one, perhaps best for CV? I love it now, but admit I was initially confused, I could be wrong but I think it's more like the plan b wave splicer on steroids, than any wave mult I've come across

The "Waveshaper" sounds much more like a traditional wave multiplier to my ears. The "Wave Multiplier" is some kind of sequencial switch. Plug the "Puls1" and "Puls2" outputs of oscillator 2 into its "InAC" and "InBD" inputs, and the "Sqr" output of the oscillator into the "Clk" input and you have something very similar to the Livewire AFG's animated pulses!

Yes there is a simple interfaced wavefolder which works fine.

Someone on another fenix thread said the wave multiplier was geared toward vocal synthesis. I though that was a mixup since I was mostly familiar with resonant bandpass filters for analog voice synthesis but then I read this

https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=61852&postdays=0&pos torder=asc&highlight=vosim&start=0

and noticed the fenix II wave multiplier was VOSIM synthesis if it were done in analog

That's a pretty inspired piece.. Very '1930' in construction.

Many thanks for the listen! nanners

BTW the "snappy as hell" snare and the two high melodies are the Fenix. Bass is the MS-10 and kick and hats are the SY-1.
pelican

WaveMultiplier example
Nothing exciting but I am loving the WaveMultiplier
Works like a high speed sequencer for audio waveform modifying
Slight Raymond Scott hommage in the middle
Sorry for the mic quality. Need to setup a line in to my camera.
